Bournemouth v Liverpool great for Bournemouth economy and profile.

I know this post is nothing about fitted furniture, but as we are a local business, seeing Premier League giants Liverpool FC visit Dorset for the first time since 1968 in the FA Cup is a good thing, whether you are a follower of football or not.

Bournemouth have a good chance to draw based on history. Back in 1927 they drew 1 all! However in the replay at Anfield, Liverpool won 4-1, which was the same outcome in 1968 after a goalless draw at Bournemouth’s home ground.

The score so far….

With the score standing at 0-1 to Liverpool with a goal by Victor Moses after just over 25 minutes, Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth will now have to come from behind, but they are playing extremely well and in the first 20 or so minutes had great possession.

These sides drew 1-1 at Bournemouth in 1927, before Liverpool won 4-1 at home in a replay. They then met again in 1968, when a goalless draw at Bournemouth brought about another 4-1 win for Liverpool at Anfield in a replay.

Events like this are always good for the local economy, as it brings money to the area and is great to see – Custom World would like to wish good luck to AFC Bournemouth, the underdogs in this match.
